About The Event
As a parent, grandparent, or even just as a believer who owns a smartphone, laptop or any other device with access to the internet, do you ever find yourself wondering:
- How much time online is ok?
- What is the right age for my child to have a phone?
- Is video gaming really harmful?
- Should I allow my children to use social media?
- How can I set limits for my children's screen time and monitor their time online?
- What effects do screens have on us and can those effects be reversed?
We are blessed to have the opportunity to have these and other questions about technology addressed by Brad Huddleston here at Horizon on Friday, January 5 at 6:30. Brad is an internationally respected speaker, consultant, teacher and author on important issues regarding technology and culture. He has worked with universities, schools, churches, and law enforcement, uniting current research with Biblical truth to help us as believers navigate the many decisions we must make about technology and how to honor the Lord in the use of it in our lives. It has famously been said that we shape the tools and then our tools shape us. Here is an opportunity to examine the technology tools of our day and the growing trend toward technology addiction.
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. --1 Corinthians 10:31. This includes our use of technology.
